About the ingredient

Hide is mostly collagen, the protein that makes it dense and slow to chew.

This comes from the collagen-rich inner layer of beef hide, not muscle meat, which is why it's naturally very low in fat. Unlike rawhide, it isn't chemically treated to soften it, and it breaks down more readily in the gut, which matters for a dog that swallows big pieces instead of gnawing slowly.

Naturally low in fat, since it comes from hide rather than meat, so it suits dogs on a weight or fat-restricted diet
Breaks down more readily than rawhide, which is treated to soften it and digests slowly
Almost entirely collagen protein, the same protein that makes up skin, tendon and cartilage
One of the longest-lasting chews in the range, worth it for a dog that goes through treats fast

For chewing under supervision. Discard once worn down to a size that could be swallowed.
