Dehydrated Cow Horn

A horn is hard keratin, the same protein as hair and hoof.

A cow horn isn't hollow. It grows from a bony core on the skull, wrapped in a hard keratin sheath, the same material as hair and hoof. What your dog is chewing through is that natural structure, bone and keratin together, which is why it's such a dense, hard chew. It lasts longer than rawhide or an ear-based chew, in the same class as an antler for chewing time. Chewing on it also scrapes plaque off teeth as your dog works through it.

For chewing under supervision, not for swallowing whole. Discard once worn down to a size that could be swallowed. Best suited to strong, experienced chewers given its hardness.
