Krill are tiny ocean crustaceans that gather in enormous swarms.
Krill live in dense open-ocean swarms in the Southern Ocean around Antarctica, filtering plankton from the water in vast numbers. Fishing fleets bring the catch back through Shandong, the same Qingdao side that processes our shishamo, where it's freeze-dried.
