Green-lipped mussel naturally contains glucosamine and chondroitin.
Farmed on ropes in New Zealand's Marlborough Sounds, hanging in the water rather than sitting on the seabed. This is Perna canaliculus, a different species from the Asian green mussel in our plain Green Mussel SKU, and the cooler water and different diet give it a different nutrient profile too. Processed in China, the same as the rest of our range.

Mussels anchor themselves to the farm ropes with their own byssal threads, the fibrous "beard" they spin to hold on, the same trick they use to cling to rocks in the wild.
